Abstract

The article defines the composition of strategic threats to the economic security of grain-elevator enterprises due to the driving forces of competition within the industrial sector. With the purpose of their determining we studied the price competition index through the analysis of tariffs data for basic services. The price competition index was calculated, and it was concluded that the grain-elevator enterprises market can be classified as highly competitive and non-concentrated with price competition prevailing. The tariffs for services of grain-elevator enterprises in Odessa region have been analyzed and it was concluded that it is common for enterprises to use the cost approach during the formation of tariffs. The factors that affect the intensity of the impact of substitute products within the grain-elevator enterprises market were determined and the share of calculation points of basic services distribution costs was calculated. The intensity of competitive forces in grain-elevator enterprises market was analyzed and threats to the enterprises in the market were identified.
