The article examines the peculiarities of social adaptation of young people as a result of forced migration abroad. The results of the work are theoretical generalizations regarding the definition of the phenomenon of social adaptation of youth as a result of forced migration abroad. It was studied the concepts of "migration" and "forced migration" as a separate type of migration. Different sources of information interpret the term "migration" as mobility, resettlement, movement, movement, change of permanent place of residence by a person, etc. The study identified features and factors of social adaptation of forced migrants. Social adaptation is a two-way process. Individual and group factors of socio-psychological adaptation of migrants in a different cultural environment are distinguished. The article analyzed the workes of foreign scientists on the social adaptation of young forced migrants in a different cultural environment. Especially, they studied the positive adaptation of young refugees, the role of language skills and discrimination in the adaptation of young refugees and non-refugee immigrants, the adaptation of unaccompanied minor refugee girls in the host country.
