Abstract

The article analyzes the study of the family and its upbringing, an important component
of the process of social formation of a child's personality. The family, as the main unit of society,
influences the formation of values, behavior norms, social skills and personal identity.
This study analyzes the key aspects of family interaction and family upbringing, which
determine the successful social formation of a child's personality. Study of the influence of
family structures, relationships, communication and educational practices on the development of
psychosocial competencies and self-determination of a child. Analysis of the role of family
upbringing in the formation of value, ethical, religious views and cultural identity of the child
was carried out. The research takes into account both the theoretical aspect and the practical
dimension of the educational process in the family and is aimed at finding practical
recommendations for parents, teachers and social workers to improve the quality of family
upbringing and the social formation of the child's personality in modern society. The results of
the study will help to increasing the understanding level and awareness of the importance of the
role of the family in the social development and children’s upbringing.
