Abstract

The article deals with a comprehensive rehabilitation approach in the work of a social work specialist in a territorial community, in particular, in the context of modern challenges. The research methodology includes the analysis of scientific papers published in open access and posted on the Google Scholar platform, which were found in Ukrainian and English. The analysis of the abstracts of the publications covered and submitted in the open access allowed us to select potentially important works in accordance with the purpose and objectives of the study. The paper takes into account the latest legislative initiatives that protect the rights of persons with disabilities. The authors analyze the importance and necessity of social rehabilitation for persons with disabilities and persons with acquired disabilities, consider different types of rehabilitation and approaches to their implementation. Considerable attention is paid to the role of a multidisciplinary team in ensuring effective rehabilitation, as well as the challenges faced by social work professionals in their work. The article emphasizes the importance of integrating various aspects of the rehabilitation process to achieve optimal results and improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the community.
