Abstract

The article discloses the legislative and organizational and legal foundations of social work with conflict families, analyses the international experience of resolving conflict situations in the family, and also highlights the methods of mediation as an alternative way to resolve family conflicts. The meanings of mediation and mediator are revealed. Different intervention strategies of social workers are described, such as short-term (crisis intervention, outreach work) and long-term, based on the systemic-ecological model of social work. Examples from the practice of European countries and the USA regarding the prevention of family conflicts and family support are given. Examples are given Austria - where the Act "On Protection from Violence" was adopted, thanks to which the victim has the right to protection from the offender. By giving the police, the power to evict and impose restraining orders against offenders.

Of Great Britain, which directs its work to the community on the prevention of family conflicts, it is regulated by the so-called British law "Claire", according to which every person can ask for help from social workers in order for them to help check whether he has a new or existing partner "violent past". In Bulgaria, the prevention of family conflicts is focused on the restriction of the offender and his rehabilitation, which promotes safety and stability in the family. In the United States, educational programs are aimed at developing the skills of responsible parenting, including childcare and the formation of family values. In France, in accordance with the law on the protection of family and childhood health, maternity and childhood support services have been established. They are engaged in preparation for parenthood, prevention of children's diseases, support in family education and health protection of mother and child.
