Inclusive tourism as a means of social rehabilitation of people with disabilities

The article explores inclusive tourism as an important means of social rehabilitation for people with disabilities. The concepts of «rehabilitation», «social rehabilitation», and «inclusive tourism» are defined. The key directions of social rehabilitation are outlined, covering not only medical, psychological, and professional aspects but also social and household adaptation and integration into society. Attention is focused on the fact that inclusive tourism contributes to restoring the social status of people with disabilities, enhances their independence, and allows them to fully participate in social life.
The principles of organizing inclusive tourism, such as accessibility, equality, individual approach, barrier-free environment, and collaboration among participants in the tourism industry, are formulated. It is established that inclusive tourism promotes not only physical and psychological rehabilitation but also strengthens the social connections of people with disabilities, which is a crucial factor in their full integration into society. Modern approaches to the development of inclusive tourism in Ukraine and abroad are analyzed, and the need for developing a unified strategy to ensure the safety of tourists with disabilities is highlighted. Based on the analysis of scientific research and practical developments, it is determined that the successful development of inclusive tourism will significantly contribute to the social rehabilitation of people with disabilities.
It is revealed that the development of inclusive tourism in Ukraine requires improvements in infrastructure and the creation of conditions for the accessibility of tourist facilities for all population categories. The main factors affecting the effectiveness of inclusive tourism are identified, including ensuring physical accessibility, adapting to the needs of people with disabilities, and their integration into the tourism process.
