Abstract

The wave expander-compressor allows reducing temperature of extending active  stream of gas with use-received work for simultaneous compression of other passive stream. Transfer of energy occurs at direct contact two environments in the waveform. Works on creation low-temperatures plants of various purpose with use of the wave purposes-compressor are briefly described. The description of principle action, methods of calculation and designing is resulted. The characteristics of wave expander-compressors received at their tests on air and natural gas are informed. The opportunity of their use in quick-freezing machines, plants of preparation of natural gas and in cryogenic air separating units are considered.
