The air separation products allow to increase efficiency of electric furnace steelmaking and quality of released steel. With this purpose the air separation plant (ASP) of new generation КААr-15-7М is constructed and handed over in operation on CJSC «Mini Steel Mill ISTIL (Ukraine)» (Donetsk). The plant has been made earlier. Modernization has been lead during its construction by experts of «Cryogenmash» (Balashikha, Moscow area). It makes 15000 m3/h of gaseous and 200 m3/h of liquid technical oxygen, 15000 m3/h of gaseous nitrogen by special cleanliness, liquid argon of the premium not less than 200 m3/h. «Mini Steel Mill ISTIL (Ukraine)», being the leader among the enterprises of «ISTIL group», makes in one year 1 million tones of high-quality steel. At a factory in connection with creation of own ASP to three basic shops (arc-furnace, blooming and drop-hammer) was added two shops — shop of power systems and shop for manufacture of energy carriers, in last include a steam boiler-house and new oxygen-compressor station. The big contribution to creation of new ASP has brought «Cryogenmash» — the world leader of oxygen and cryogenic engineering. The experts and partners of «Cryogenmash» could successfully solve a complicated problem of creation of modern manufacture of air separation products with using of part of available equipmant at plant.
