INCREASE OF EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY OF TRANSPORTATION OF LIQUID HYDROGEN DURING RAILWAY AND MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATIONS

The fulfilment of responsible priority works for realization of the lunar program (1966-1977) and also for maintenance of flight of spacecraft «Buran» (1977-1987) has demanded a creation of special means for delivery of large quantity of liquid hydrogen. The features of the first developed products for delivery of liquid hydrogen by automobile and railway transportation are described. It is informed that on change to these products there came more perfect railway systems: «Railway Hydrogen Tank (RHT)-100» which had been made in 67 piece, and also RHT-100М and RHT-100М2 - in 69 pieces. The results of tests of RHT-100M which filled with liquid hydrogen, in conditions of loss of vacuum in heat insulation are resulted. The tests have confirmed a high reliability of tank at occurrence of an emergency.
