DEVELOPMENT OF NEW TYPE EFFECTIVE SELF ACTING VALVES FOR DIFFERENT TYPE OF MULTI-STAGE PISTON COMPRESSORS USING IN MANUFACTURING OF AIR SEPERATION PRODUCTS

Abstract

Self acting valves are the most important elements of piston type of compressor which mostly defines a reliability and economical criteria of compressor. Announcing about the availability of new design shim and reed type valves especially designed for compressors 6GS1,6-2/1,1-200-3 with a working medium of carbon dioxide. These valves give a possibility to make major improvements in compressor lifetime which is more than ten times longer operation till first failure in comparison with ordinary valves. There were parallel tests on the fifth stage of mentioned compressor of poppet type valves with poppet made of titanium. Results are confirmed by long period testing reports.
