Abstract

At a high rate requirements are growing in energy carriers. Attention is paid on the weakly more assimilated sources of hydrocarbon gases. These may include biogas of solid waste landfills, associated oil gas, coal mine methane. For the extraction and processing of these gases requires different piston compressors. NPO Frunze (Sumy, Ukraine) produces a wide range of compressors. The features and the characteristics some of compressors are considered. About the establishment of compressor equipment for the natural gas production from boreholes with its low pressure is reported. There are characteristics of the various drives piston compressors. The results of works on creation of new high-speed piston compressors boxer bases are present. Using them in production will allow to lower masses and dimensions of compressors, enhance operational characteristics and provide a competitive edge.
