The article examines the actual use and protection of the unique land resource potential of Ukraine in modern conditions. At the same time, the anthropogenic load on nature is growing at an extremely fast pace, environmental pollution with harmful industrial emissions and waste is increasing, the rate of environmental degradation is accelerating, and natural resources are being depleted and exhausted, soil productivity is decreasing, etc. Ways to improve the use of land resource potential in order to achieve ecological cleanliness of the environment are proposed. It is substantiated that special attention should be paid to the creation of effective soil conservation and restoration programs, the implementation of integrated approaches to land management, which would ensure a balance between the economic interests of the agricultural sector and the ecological sustainability of rural areas.
