Abstract

The article considers how the global asthenosphere manifests at a depth of about 1000 km in the geothermal, geoelectrical, and seismic data obtained over the past 20 years and recent data additions are considered. The represent include the inclusion of the global asthenosphere in the number of geospheres with noticeable radiogenic heat generation, the emergence of data on the electrical conductivity of rocks in the transition zone from the upper to the lower mantle, and the information on widespread velocity inhomogeneities in the global asthenosphere depth range.
