In 2025, the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Geophysical Methods of Dnipro University of Technology will be celebrated. The paper is devoted to the history of the formation and development of geophysical research within the walls of the Katerynoslav Higher Mining School — Dnipropetrovsk Mining Institute — Dnipro University of Technology.
The information presented is a compilation of publications dedicated to the history of the department, as well as the memories of department employees and their relatives.
The author expresses his gratitude to his colleagues, geophysicists, employees of the O.M. Polya National Historical Museum, and the staff of the archive and library of Dnipro University of Technology for their assistance in preparing this work.
