FREE ELECTRON MASER: MAGNETOSTATIC RESONANCE REGIME

Interaction between an electron beam with an initial transversal velocity and microwave fields of a smooth-wall electrodynamical structure in a planar ubitron is studied. The exact hybrid (combinational) resonant conditions are obtained. It is determined that the input signal gain increases in the magnetostatic resonance regime, and the gain does not depend on the undulator field strength for a wide range of the system parameters. To increase the efficiency, a simultaneous interaction with two electron beams can be used.
