THE ROLE OF STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS IN THE MODERN WORLD: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Abstract
The article addresses the role of strategic communications in the contemporary world, the major challenges that arise in the aforesaid area, and the response capacity of state authorities. Focusing on the challenges and opportunities that need to be exploited, the fact has been proved, that strategic communications is a necessary tool for achieving political goals, building beliefs and ensuring effective interaction with the audience. Strategic communications enable the state authorities to inform society about the major issues and phenomena, their activities, ensure public support and tackle crisis situations. The author substantiates the importance of understanding the target audience, developing a clear information strategy, and ensuring transparency and accessibility of information. It is claimed that the effective use of strategic communications helps public authorities maintain public trust, build a positive image, and achieve their social, political, or military goals. The use of modern communication tools, ongoing analysis and updating the communicative performance are indispensable factors in this area. Recommendations are put forward for state authorities in terms of enhancing the existing communication strategies; in particular, taking into consideration features of the target audience, ensuring transparency and accessibility of information, active use of social media and public consultations. Furthermore, it is crucial to use ethical approaches to communication, quality of information, objectivity and respect for the opinion and rights of the public. The significance of strategic communications in the contemporary world and their relevamce in the activities of state authorities are emphasized. The effective use of strategic communications makes it possible for the authorities to attract public support, gain trust, and ensure successful achievement of goals relevant for the country.
