‘SECRECY REGIME’: CONSISTENCY OF THE LEGISLATIVE TERMINOLOGY DEFINITION

Abstract

The article examines the consistency of the legislative terminological definition of the ‘secrecy regime’ concept.

Considering the results of the research of the national legislation, the author focuses upon the necessity to introduce a new definition to the term of ‘secrecy regime’ that denotes the ‘regime of state secrets protection’.

Legislative consolidation of the definition of the aforesaid term and its appropriate interpretation will facilitate its correct understanding and practical use that is of primary importance in the process of preventing offences, responding effectively to various threats and, in particular, ensuring comprehensive application of the necessary security measures.
