The regularities of distribution of passenger traffic between rail and road in suburban traffic are investigated. The results of processing the field research revealed patterns of influence of parameters of the transport process of passenger transportation at a fraction of the passengers who prefer a suburban road transport of from total transportation volume in suburban traffic. The discovered patterns were mathematically formalized
