Improvement of anodes quality at fire refinement of copper

In article the quality of the anodes made on a fire refinement division of copper of the Zaporozhye factory of nonferrous metals is studied. It is shown that usage of phosphorous copper at a stage of fire refinement of copper not only reduce quantity of copper anodes with defects, but also improve work parameters of electrolytic refinement division. A fire affinage of copper is an oxidizing process on which blowing out is carried out by air of fusion of copper with her postreduction wood (an operation "poling"). A slag greater part of admixtures is concentrated in which appears as a result of poling. The process of fire affinage of secondary draft copper has a row of substantial features as compared to a draft copper, got from ore raw material, conditioned by high maintenance of next admixtures: lead, zinc, tin, iron, nickel. Application of additional deoxidant (to the phosphorous copper) on the stage of fire affinage of copper allowed to improve quality copper anodes: to decrease the amount of anodes with superficial defects
