The article is dedicated to the analysis of Internet communication and its impact on the style of modern communication, particularly through the prism of English language use in the digital space. This form of communication emphasizes the transformation from informative to interactive communication, made possible by the development of social networks and messengers. Special attention is given to the concept of "Internet communication." Various aspects are highlighted, including the psychological impact of Internet communication and its elements. A comparative analysis was conducted between traditional normative communication and new forms of communication. In particular, emphasis is placed on the connotation of messages in the original when applying certain elements of Internet communication.
It has been established that Internet communication not only enriches the experience of interaction but also brings certain risks, such as a decrease in personal interaction and security threats. The article summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of Internet communication, highlighting its accessibility, speed, and global reach, while also noting negative consequences such as issues related to physical health and psychological well-being. Certain attention is also paid to changes in language norms caused by the integration of new forms of communication, such as emojis, memes, and abbreviations, which have become important elements of online dialogue, especially in the English-speaking context.
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of Internet communication as a phenomenon that significantly alters the structure of communication and language norms in modern society, emphasizing the importance of the English language as an international tool in the communicative process.
