WAYS TO IMPROVE READING CULTURE OF STUDENTS IN THE HUMANITARIAN PROCESS OF HIGHER SCHOOLS

Abstract

The article deals with the problems of reading culture decline as a crucial factor in the spiritual development of an individual. It the paper, the main approaches to the issue in modern psychology and pedagogy are generalized. The author examines the peculiarities of improving students’ reading culture in the learning process and proposes the main methods and techniques for the development of reading competence of students. The author writes about the objectives and content of educational work in their spare time. The article highlights the importance of various forms of organization of reading activity of students in the academic group.
