Organisational and economic justification of environmentally sustainable development of intensive horticulture: innovation and investment aspect

The issue of environmentally sustainable development of intensive horticulture is closely linked to innovation activities based on the widespread use of scientific and technological progress, modernisation of production through the application of the latest innovative technologies and attraction of additional investments to increase the yield and competitiveness of domestic fruit and berry products. It has been determined that the low activity of innovative development in horticulture is primarily related to the organisational and economic aspects of introducing innovative technologies into production and management activities, which causes the uncompetitiveness of domestic fruit and berry products, leads to an increase in production costs, etc. The article discloses organisational and economic mechanisms of innovative development of intensive horticulture and substantiates directions of development of the State stimulation of the industry, main directions of intensification, which are intended to ensure rational use of its natural resource and economic potential.
