Abstract

The article describes the history of the development of pedagogical culture of the Latin American continent in the conditions of conquest (XVI – XVIII centuries). With the use of new sources and literature the contradictory nature of the process of formation and development of school education in the colonization of Latin America and the interaction of indigenous civilization and European culture is revealed.
