THE CONCEPT OF THEATRICALIZATION AS A MANIFESTATION OF SPECTACULAR CULTURE

Abstract

There is a feature of the concept of a "theatricalization" in the context of show. The art image components, especially the development action are reviewed and the nature of theatricalszation’ elements to current stage are analyzed.

The heatricality is the main feature of spectacular culture, that surrounds us and which is very interesting today. The relevance of studying the development of theatricalization elements is determined by the fact that the problem of theatricality is observed as an immanent, integrative property of culture, which reflects fundamental tendencies of its development.

The notion of "theatricalization" as a spectacular culture component is characterized by inability to ignore the influence of the theatre on different spheres of life. The leading role in culture is devoted to visual image of performance in combination with stage direction, theatricalization and mass staging.

The art of performance is understood as an ability to form figurative reality. Studying the past experience testifies that the process of theatricalization is constantly changing, assuming new properties.

These are the theatricalization means that make the viewer understand the source of culture origin – social labour – by means of which the human changes the nature and himself , creates his own spiritual objective world, different from nature , and realizes his life activities.

Thus, spectacularity as a belonging of a modern culture appears in different forms and is implemented in performances of different kinds and types. The theatricalization in spectacular culture exists in concrete forms, in terms of which we can study mechanisms of its functioning and explore those new cultural senses which are created.

The concept of theatricalization means the assigning an art form to action, spectacular, imaginative form, the one which transforms the content. The break of paradigm of classical culture in XX century led to radical metamorphoses in art practices and caused the change in the world of spectacular culture.

Using theatricalization we have an opportunity to create new forms synthesized due to different art genres. A characteristic feature of performance in communicative area is dynamism of its appearance with a certain predictability of desires, actions in regulation of human emotions.

The important things are a content and an essence, which fill in the performance with the help of thetricalization means, and also goal (not bottom-line, but cultural) which is reproduced in it.

The essential features of the performance are transformed in the plane of the gap distance between the viewer and the event. The means of theatricalization, which are also expressed in a form of mass communication correct the direction of performance development, consciously regulating approaching or alienation of its separate elements.
