Purpose of Research. The purpose of the article is to characterize the types of the enterprises of services, particularly, stores, placed on the first floors of residential houses. Methodology. The author uses general scientific methods (classification) and structural-functional analysis to define and research the enterprises of services. Scientific Novelty. Analysing the typology of the enterprises of services, the author determines the tendency, which will define the kind of the built-in enterprises in the future. The role of the enterprises of services, which combine different functions and services, will increase in the comfortable social-economic and urban environment. Conclusions. The main built-in enterprises of services can be divided into three groups (retail business, public catering and everyday life services). However, their internal typology is very wide. Each year, it will enlarge due to the adding new kinds of services to the list. However, there are some limits of the typology and classification in the design of the enterprises (various stores). The enterprises, placed on the first floors of the residential houses, depend on hygienic-technical requirements and the needs of the people who live in the house.
