Design in coordinates of Art-Project Culture
Abstract
The purpose of the article is the disclosure of contemporary methodological approaches to the definition of Design. The research methodology is based on the use of system-structural, sociocultural, and art-historical methods, which gives reason to consider Design as an Art-Project Culture. Scientific novelty consists in conducting the retrospective review and solution of actual question about the culturological essence of Design in the framework of intellectual sphere of Humanity. The features of Cultures and the evolution of Design as a type of professional activity are identified. Attention is focused on the correlation of functionality and aesthetics in projecting process. Conclusions. As result of analysis the tendencies of internationalization and regionalization in Design, it was found out that during the XX – beginning of XXI century Theory and Methodology of Design and arsenal of form-creative means were formed. It is proved that the Design is a part of Art Culture, taking into account cultural-artistic, political and social-economic changes in the society.
