Family of Tesseyr's: strokes to the biography of Maria Donets-Tesseyr (using archival materials)
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to cover little-known facts from the biography of M. Donets-Tesseyr and her family on the basis of documents and materials from the archival institutions of Ukraine. The methodology of the research consists in the application of methods of source study, biographical, analytical-descriptive and chronological. These methods make it possible to cover the little-known pages of the pedigree of M. Donets-Tesseyr. Scientific novelty lies in the coverage of facts from the history of the Tesseyr's family on the basis of archival documents from the personal fund of M. Donets-Tesseyr, which is stored in the Central State Archive Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine. The archival materials used are represented by the manuscripts of M. Donets-Tesseyr itself and official documents. The facts of the history of the Tesseyr's family, in particular, the pages of E. Tesseyr biography, have not been reflected in the scientific literature yet. Archival sources that reveal the history of the genealogy of M. Donets-Tesseyr for the first time are introduced into scientific circulation. Conclusions. Despite certain difficulties in the analysis of these certificates, the following conclusions can be drawn as a result of the work: the pages of the biography of M. Donets-Tesseyr and information about her family remain unclear to the full. There is a lot of contradictory data about the date of birth of her father – E. Tesseyr. With the help of archival documents, more or less clear picture of life can be compiled only about the father of M. Donets-Tesseyr. Among the archive sources, there was no confirmation of some of the facts provided by the researchers of M. Donets-Tesseyr, in particular, the education of her father E. Tesseyr.
