"Entertainment" in the fine arts of Ukraine of the XX–XXI centuries is as a form of accumulation of socio-cultural experience

The purpose of the article consists of to consider "entertainment" in the fine arts of Ukraine of the XX–XXI centuries as a form of accumulation of socio-cultural experience. The research methodology consists in the application of the analytical method –to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of "entertainment" in the fine arts of Ukraine of the XX–XXI centuries, based on the works of V. Abramov, V. Burachek, V. Grechenko, G. Akishina and others. Formalization method is used to clarify the types of "entertainment" in art history discourse. The hermeneutical method is used in the aspect of interpreting the role of "entertainment" in the works of prominent Ukrainian artists of the XX–XXI centuries. The scientific novelty of the work is that for the first time the essence of the transformation of the phenomenon of "entertainment" in the works of Ukrainian artists of the XX–XXI centuries as the personification of social changes in this historical period. Conclusions. The article examines the works of Ukrainian artists of the XX–XXI centuries, in which much attention is paid to the visualization of the phenomenon of "entertainment" in its ritual, agonal, artistic and farce forms. The ceremonial and ritual formula of the phenomenon of "entertainment" in the works of Ukrainian artists of this period includes a reflection of the features of the transition from an atheistic worldview to a religious one, taking into account the specifics of the political and social life of 1990 in Ukraine, if before 1990 Ukrainian artists mainly painted historical plots depicting traditions ancient Slavs, after 1990 they began to reproduce religious subjects. The agonal formula of the phenomenon of "entertainment" in the works of G. Akishina, Yu. Gavrilchenko, S. Nechay, tests to the reflection of the specific phenomena of the twentieth century, such as socialist competitions, as a means of increasing labor productivity and a social phenomenon, and a gradual transition to the agonal form as a means of leisure activities – hosting the Olympic Games. The artistic and farcical formula of "entertainment", which is visualized in the works of Ukrainian artists of the XX–XXI centuries, is aimed at reproducing national traditions and preserving the Ukrainian national culture, thanks to which the spiritual worldview of our nation is formed.
