GLOBALIZATION CULTURAL PROCESSES AND THEIR EFFECT ON THE FUNCTIONAL APPOINTMENT OF NATIONAL CULTURE

Abstract

Purpose of the article is a definition of the essence of globalization cultural processes and analysis of their influence on the practical purpose of national culture.  The methodology of the research is to apply general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, comparative, which are used to study the historical, sociological, encyclopedic literature on the research problem;  historical and chronological – to determine the historical stages of the development of globalization; empirical measurement method – for analyzing informational materials and documentation.  The scientific novelty lies in the new wording of the concept of "cultural globalization" and the in-depth analysis of its impact on national culture.  Conclusions.  Based on the review of scientific research, the author identified an expanded interpretation of cultural globalization as a process of accelerating cultural processes and cultural interchange between regions and countries of the world.  The integration and consolidation functions of the national culture, which can counteract both the unification and the large-scale participation of cultural processes, are described.  The emphasis is on the importance of establishing an inter-ethnic dialogue of cultures, which involves the perception of another culture from cultural relativism, tolerance, mutual understanding and mutual respect through intercultural interaction.
