«MASS SONG» IN THE CULTURAL FIELD OF THE USA IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY

The purpose of the article is to determine the features of an integrative combination of different cultures on the example of creating a genre of «mass song». The methodology of the research consists in the application of the principle of systemic: integrative method, the method of interpretation, method of typological analysis, synergistic and axiological (value) approaches. The scientific novelty of the article is the manifestation of the features of the «mass song» in the culture of the United States of the period: interpenetration of various cultural traditions. Conclusions. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the stages of the formation of the genre of «mass song" are defined: the emergence of popular songs with similar musical material in translation into several languages – the end of the XIX century; the replication of musical production on paper and gramophone media; «Americanization» of the musical life.
