THE MAIN TENDENCIES OF DEVELOPMENT OF VOCAL FESTIVALS-COMPETITIONS IN MODERN UKRAINE

Purpose of the article is that Ukrainian song festivals-competitions are considered as means of formation and development of national culture. Methodology. In achieving this goal, the following research methods are used: historical, observation, interview, analysis, focus group discussions, periodization method. Scientific Novelty. The research is that Ukrainian song festivals-competitions are considered as means of formation and development of national culture. Conclusions. The study of the festival movement in Ukraine gives an opportunity to see how the national song culture is being formed and developing. A noticeable increase in the number of such events, in particular in the field of vocal art. This gives a full area for the study of individual competitions and festival movement in general, which will help improve the organization and holding of these events, expanding their borders, reaching the international level. The Ukrainian nation has long been known as one of the most influential in the world, so it is worth keeping the national song culture, enriching it with new cultural samples of high-quality music.
