Abstract

Purpose of Article. The goal of the research is to unfold the interactions of style trends, the effectiveness of the stylistic synthesis in “Sonata-remembering” of M. Metner as an expression of the most important stylistic processes of the XIX-XX centuries. Methodology. The research is conducted through the using of the following methods: cultural science method allows to mark the general cultural processes in the Russian music on the turn of the centuries; hermeneutic method is based on the comprehension of music compositions in relation to the tradition of culture; musicology method provides the analysis of music compositions and relies on the theoretic works of the musicology in the art minds, traditions, and style. Scientific Novelty. The problem of the stylistic synthesis on the case of “Sonata-remembering” is examined for the first time in the aspect of the embodiment ideas of “The Silver Age ” Conclusions. The compositions for piano “Sonataremembering” is quite symbolic in the art and aesthetic-philosophical concepts of the composer. The idea of remembering, reminiscence (“the returning to the beginning”) is declared in the title of the program and has become the main principle of the composer's creative method.
