Trends of updating the content of professional training program of French language teacher according to European standards

The article deals with the issue of professional development of foreign language teachers and the perspectives of renewing the curriculum for In-Service teacher training institutes to satisfy the needs of a modern teacher as a transmitter of information which is necessary for the formation of living competences of students who are the social agents in the global multicultural environment. The attentiion is focused on the usage of effective instruments of teachers’ professional development and self-development of French language teachers
