Problem of a physical culture teacher’s professional self-development in educational theory and practice

The article highlights the results of the theoretical analysis of the problem on professional self-development of a physical culture teacher. Philosophical, pedagogical, psychological actualiteties have been defined in solving the problem of a teacher’s self-development. The importance of self-identity development has been proved as a special process of social activity of the individual. It is proved that at present self-development of a physical culture teacher is one of the key trends and ways to increase its level of professional competence
