The article deals with modern problems of development of industrial enterprises in the machinery industry generally, which is currently in decline. The analysis of innovative activity in industrial enterprises Uk Rainha, and is considered particularly engineering enterprise JSC "Azovmash" in Ukraine. From the analysis can be seen in recent years that the machine-building industry, it was rising, it was again in decline. This is due to the fact that many engineering companies were unable to find their way and to develop the right strategy for the company. But this decline is largely curled enterprises from the loss of the Russian market, and quickly shift to other markets Ukrainian machine-building enterprises can not. It takes time, innovative products and highly skilled professionals. The government does not support the machine-building enterprises. Ukrzaliznytsia needs a rolling upgrade, but the means to update it does not have, and the state does not allocate. Given this situation, each machine-building enterprises should develop their exit strategy from this situation, but most products must be innovative, the only way engineering companies will be able to withstand competition in the global market.
