The purpose of the article is to solve the problems of effective strategic management of procurement groups by developing practical recommendations for their solution. The procurement group is considered as an innovative organizational model , which allows to obtain the greatest benefit y from the synergy of its participants' activities. The article deals with the concept of procurement groups, the purpose of their creation, the basis of functioning. The main types of purchasing groups are considered depending on the sectoral affiliation of its participants. The sources of income of these groups are described, depending on the organization of the business model. The main procurement strategies are considered, which are based on the relationship between the procurement groups and the suppliers. The main problems of the procurement group’s functioning and the ways of their solution are highlighted. The main problems of the management of procurement groups, which include associations of independent entrepreneurs with different views on the goals of their activities are described . The authors proposed to use a controlling system for organizing strategic management of procurement groups of various sectors of the economy. The main types and tools of controlling are considered, special stress on the system of balanced indicators is made. Based on the procurement group, which is currently being established in the Donetsk region, a strategic map for the “AGRO-Priazovye” procurement group of small and medium-sized farm business and small enterprises for the processing of agricultural products has been developed. The strategic map was developed according to a system of balanced indicators in such areas as: finances, clients, business processes, personnel. During the development of a strategic map for these areas, authors' own research on innovations in the farming and processing fields of agricultural products was used.
