M. Makarova. The impact of innovative information technologies on the activity of industrial enterprises in the conditions of Industry 4.0.

The article is devoted to an overview of the changes that an industrial enterprise is undergoing in the conditions of the fourth technological revolution (TR) (Industry 4.0), and the need to find new approaches to the production business has been identified. In article approaches to definition the term “Industry 4.0” are investigated. In article the sense of production in the conditions of Industry 4.0 is identified, problems of introduction of its innovations and a task for the industrial enterprises are designated. It was concluded that, despite a number of difficulties, in the closest decade Industry 4.0 technologies will spread in almost all sectors of the global industry. The enterprises which will not apply Industry 4.0 technologies are likely to lose out in global competition in both cost and product attractiveness to customers. Anyway industrial enterprises should now begin with determining the level of production, technological and organizational maturity of an enterprise, that is, the assessment of the effectiveness of management processes and the degree of readiness of information systems for development of digital approaches. This will help formulate a strategy for key events and plan work with the step-by-step implementation of the concept of Industry 4.0, starting with a careful selection of a pilot project. The last point has fundamental value: enterprises should begin implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies from the area where it is best possible to realize the strategy of “quick wins” in order to assess the capabilities of this concept. In this direction, it is necessary to concentrate certain resources and efforts of enterprises, both technical and intellectual, with guarantee to receive result. After the enterprises get clear evidences that digitalization or other technologies of Industry 4.0 provide undoubted benefits, the scope of the areas covered by it at the enterprises is rapidly expanding.
