Abstract

Achieving the goals of sustainable development is one of the main tasks in the modern world. The main ones are satisfaction of growing needs by making rational use of the existing resources of each country to ensure their further existence in the long term. The concept of sustainable development consider economic factors on a par with non-economic factors and the experience of developed countries proves the correctness of this approach. The aim of the work is to identify the priority directions of development of Ukraine in the context of sustainable development goals. The objects of the research are the processes of ensuring the sustainable development of the country in conditions of limited resources. The subject of the research appears as the methods of determining the relationship between the investment attractiveness of a country and the non-economic factors, which are causing it. In the study are researched the economic and non-economic indicators of the development of countries, identified their features in terms to study sustainable development. The choice of countries, the time period and research methods are justified. A representative sample of the data was compiled from macroeconomic indicators and country development indices for the period from 2000 to 2017. Analysis was conducted of the relationship between economic and non-economic factors of development of countries. In the study are used both general scientific (analysis, comparison, synthesis, synthesis) and specialized methods of economic calculations and mathematical statistics. The scientific novelty of the study is to identify a number of non-economic indicators that have a strong relationship with the investment attractiveness of the country, and therefore can be a driving force to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
