The paper analyzes the features of formation of economic sovereignty under conditions of cognitive economy. It was determined that the interest in issues of economic sovereignty is amplified during turning points of a society. It has been proved that one of the main factors of modern transformations is the increase in importance of such concepts as "information" and "knowledge" in the role of the main production resources and the means to achieve growth in the environment of cognitive economy emerging as a new form of "knowledge economy". Meanwhile, cognitiveness of an economy is the process of consumption and production of knowledge that permeates it. Thus, the efficiency of managing a harmonious development of production and consumption of knowledge is provided primarily by man’s cognitive abilities, the understanding of how he acquires knowledge from different sources, combines it, using his own original technology. As the result of analyzing the existing researches on knowledge economy, its main formal indicators, which help distinguish it from traditional (industrial, pre-industrial) economy, are determined. A conclusion was made by the end of the study: in an environment of modern social and economical development only the integration of areas of science, education and economy, together with the symbiosis of modern technology with informational one within cognitive economy, creates the foundation of a new social formation necessary for strengthening the economical sovereignty of UkraineReferences
