Maschenko S. Theoretical aspects of investigating the energy saving as economic category

Abstract

The article deals with theoretical aspects of energy saving in various periods of time, provided a description of the categories related to energy efficiency, such as resources, fuel and energy resources, resource saving and energy saving. The question of the concepts difference of resource saving and energy saving and also efficiency, goal and foundations have been described.  Domestic and foreign publications  engaged in this category were presented and analyzed. Contradictions are found in scientific thinking and scientific definitions. It is concluded that the concept of energy savings began to be considered at first from a technical point of view. It has undergone additions closer to modern time, scientific ideas are obtaining clearer understanding and interpretation of the energy savings, but there are many contradictions in these ideas. Concrete definition of energy conservation is not available in every work of scientists. The basic work of scientists of the given categories and definitions are provided for further consideration of energy saving. As a result of the analysis of the main works of these perspective derection have been received that each scientist considered energy saving and energy saving actions only on the one side: technical, organizational or economic. All three components weren't considered. It is reasonable that for research of introduction of energy saving actions it is necessary to consider all three components
