Sapytska I.K. Key aspects of the management system coal mines: strategy and structure

Abstract

The article found that in order to overcome the crisis in the coal industry can use the concept of strategic management, which has become a characteristic of the global economy in the late twentieth century. Its main elements are the strategy and structure, which are closely linked.  These key components were considered in relation to the mines of Donbass. Study of the  activities of mining enterprises have allowed author identified the following groups, which are very different from each other technical and economic parameters: "strong", "stable working", "unstable working" and "weak".

With regard to the group of "strong" mines are encouraged to use the strategy of "leadership", which includes an innovative aspect. For the group of "stable working" mine can be applied modernization strategy. "Unstable work" mine for the "survival" may implement the strategy of synergy or "fusion." By "weak" mines that have exhausted their stocks, applicable strategy of "liquidation" (conservation). In support of the coal enterprises, which temporarily put in crisis conditions, it is advisable to use a strategy of diversification. The strategy and structure of enterprises are closely linked. On the basis of these strategies is developed management structure, comprising cokecoal, energycoal and coal companies. At the level of the mines for the implementation of innovative projects proposed to use the organizational structure of the "project", which basis is a temporary task force.
