The article described the state of pollution of surface water bodies in Mariupol, in the supply of these industrial waste waters, which represent a real danger to the environment. The waste water containing heavy metals, petroleum products, organic compounds which have the properties of toxicants and may have mutagenic and carcinogenic effects on living organisms.
The article analyzes the amount of pollutants discharged into water bodies, the enterprises of Metinvest Holding Mariupol Mariupol. Lenin and MC "Azovstal". Actual annual discharges twice the planned discharges. The article analyzes the program "Protection and improvement of the environment in Mariupol ', the event which will be implemented until 2020. In addition, the paper proposes measures that after the implementation could improve the ecological state of the city of Mariupol. Any enterprise should conduct its activities in such a way as not to pose a threat to the environment.
