Two sets of tasks within the lesson frame aim at training 3rd-year students as future teachers, who simulate model lessons for the effective teaching of written language skills to 5th graders. Writing a personal narrative is in the focus of teaching. Text writing skill are acquired together with the mastering of language norms, genre-related peculiarities of text analysis and creation. They are supplemented with a memo and two mini vocabularies meant to help students to grasp the material covered in class, to consolidate it and apply the knowledge when generating a new text. Teacher training tasks are designed to complete and improve the tasks for 5th graders. Developing the third-year students' teaching skills is fostered by enhancing their creative abilities when encouraging them to apply certain lateral thinking techniques in lesson planning.
