Policy on plagiarism and self-plagiats
Ars Linguodidacticae adheres to the principles of academic integrity and follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling cases of plagiarism and redundant publication.
All submitted manuscripts are screened for textual similarity using specialized similarity detection software (https://strikeplagiarism.com/en/). Similarity reports are carefully examined by an authorized member of the editorial team, taking into account context, citation practices, and the nature of the overlaps. A high similarity index does not automatically constitute plagiarism.
If potential plagiarism or excessive text reuse is suspected, the editorial board conducts an additional assessment in accordance with COPE guidelines. Authors may be invited to provide clarification or correct improper attribution where appropriate.
If plagiarism is confirmed (including misappropriation of others’ work or failure to provide proper citation), the manuscript will be rejected. Substantial self-plagiarism or redundant publication may also result in rejection.
If ethical misconduct is identified after publication, the editorial board will act in accordance with COPE procedures and the journal’s Post-publication Corrections and Retraction Policy. Depending on the severity of the case, appropriate actions may include publication of a correction, an expression of concern, or a formal retraction notice.
