MOTIVATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING

The paper deals with the motivational factors in the ESL classroom and analyzes students’ responses to a motivational survey. It is proved that motivation is a key factor to success in second language acquisition which can develop students’ curiosity about learning English. It concludes that teachers can better foster students’ motivation by respecting their interests and learning style preferences.
