The share of the central and western regions in the country’s export is very low and does not exceed one percent.
The regional patterns in the geographical structure of goods export from Ukraine has been established. The largest share of CIS countries in goods exports occurs mainly in the northern, northeastern, eastern and southern regions of Ukraine and part of the western regions; predominance of Asian countries in goods exports is typical in the southern and southeastern regions, the European countries – in the western regions. The important factors that influence on the geographical structure of Ukrainian export are economic-geographical and transport-geographical location, specialization of the economy, which is the basis of export potential, cooperative relationships established historically and a strong position in existing markets of products.
