Abstract

This article is a continuation of research on the boulders and pebbles of coal seams in Donets Basin. The article explains their mineral and petrographic composition. This paper describes the clastic rocks of the Donets Basin coal seams, which are metamorphic in composition. The objects of the study were thin sections of rocks which have been examined under a polarizing microscope. As a result, the following metamorphic rocks: garnet-sericite-quartz schist, shale antimonite, granite-sericite, muscovite-biotite gneisses, muscovite gneiss and quartzite huge amount (80%) have been studied. In the quartzite rock-forming minerals basically quartz is present, an exception is feldspar: plagioclase and potassium feldspars. Accessory minerals are garnet, Tsirсon, magnetite. Secondary minerals are muscovite sericite, calcium, pyrites.
