ISSN 2523-4161

The journal supports the principles of open science, ensures transparency of research and adheres to international standards, including the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles and the DORA (San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment) recommendations.
The journal is guided by the following principles:
Data openness: authors should, where possible, provide open access to the data underlying the article.
FAIR principles: submitted data and metadata should be findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.
Transparency and reproducibility: data should provide the ability to verify results and repeat the study.
Ethical and legality: data disclosure should not violate confidentiality, copyright, trade secrets or ethical norms.
Requirements for authors
Authors are required to describe the method of access to all data on which the publication is based in the Data Availability Statement section.
Research data should be hosted in an institutional, national or international repository that supports FAIR principles and assigns persistent identifiers (e.g. DOI).
The DOI of the datasets should be indicated in the article metadata and the list of references.
Authors should provide a sufficient description of the datasets, including methodology, format, version and license for use.
Metadata and formats
The journal recommends the use of open data formats, as well as structured metadata compatible with international standards.
The data provided should contain information about the authors, institution, funding source, time of creation, version and type of license.
Licensing
Open licenses such as CC0 or CC BY are recommended, which allow free citation and reuse of data.
If the use of an open license is not possible, authors should clearly justify the choice of more restrictive rights.
Role of the editorial board and reviewers
The journal's editorial board checks the availability of reliable data references and compliance of submitted sets with basic FAIR requirements.
Reviewers can assess the suitability of the submitted data for verification of results and the quality of metadata.
The journal does not store data on its own server, but ensures link stability and access to repositories.
Monitoring and reporting
The journal keeps track of the number of articles for which open data has been provided, as well as the number of datasets with DOIs mentioned in the metadata of articles.
Where possible, the journal monitors statistics on FAIR data downloads in external repositories.
Information on compliance with the policy may be included in the editorial board's annual analytical reports.
Limitations and exceptions
The policy does not apply in cases where disclosure of data would be contrary to ethical requirements, confidentiality, legislation or contractual terms.
In such cases, authors must provide an explanation and minimally necessary metadata.
