Abstract

s. Modern tennis makes high demands on the physical
fitness of players. The ratio of the volume of physical and technical training with the growth of
sportsmanship does not remain constant, but increases in percentage terms. Given the importance
of physical training for the development of movement technique, we consider it necessary to
monitor changes in the development of motor skills in young tennis players under the influence of
GPP. Purpose: identify the influence of general physical training on the physical fitness of 10-yearold young tennis players. Material and research methods. The study was conducted on the basis of
the sports club "Sport & Court" in Kharkov. It was attended by 8 athletes 10 years old, who were
divided into experimental and control groups. Methods: analysis and generalization of literary
sources, pedagogical experiment, testing, methods of mathematical statistics. Results. Comparison
of the results of young tennis players in the experimental and control groups at the beginning of the
study indicates that there are no significant differences between them (p≥0.05). In absolute terms,
female athletes of the control group have better indicators of speed and dexterity. An analysis of the
results obtained in the repeated testing shows that they are significantly higher in the tennis players
of the experimental group than in the young athletes of the control group. It is observed authenticity
of differences only in the indexes of endurance (p≤0,01). Conclusions. General physical training
classes had a positive effect on the level of development of the motor abilities of young tennis
players, so they can be recommended for use in the training process. With the help of the proposed
exercises, the development of speed, speed-strength, coordination and strength abilities, flexibility
and, especially, endurance in female tennis players is stimulated.
