The article deals with issues related to the competitive activity of Ukrainian volleyball teams in the domestic arena in 2023

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to study and characterize the performances of volleyball teams in various Ukrainian championships in 2023. Research material and methods. In the course of this study, the materials of publications posted on the Internet resources of the NGO UVF, statistical information from other Internet sources were processed. The study was conducted from January to December 2023. Theoretical analysis and generalization of data, analysis of documentary (statistical) materials were used. Results of the study. The war in Ukraine has been going on for two years. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the selfless struggle of every soldier at the front, the NGO UVF manages to organize and conduct the championship of various leagues, to ensure the performance of national and club teams in the international arena. In the Ukrainian championship of the 2022-23 season, competitions in various leagues continued. The VII-XI rounds of the Superleagues and the final part of the competitions in the Premier, First, Second Leagues and Superleagues took place, and the winners of the Ukrainian Championship were determined. In the 2023-2024 season, the Ukrainian Championship expanded, the number of participating teams in the leagues of the Ukrainian Championship increased, it was decided to hold a Children's League ( with boys and girls born in 2007-2011) and to resume the Ukrainian Cup. Conclusions.  In this difficult time for the country, the war with Russia, the NGO UVF and PUVL managed to organize the Ukrainian Volleyball Championship in various leagues and resume the Ukrainian Cup. In the 2023-2024 volleyball season, 256 teams are participating in various Ukrainian championships, including 42 men's teams, 30 women's teams, 77 youth teams, and 107 girls' teams.  Compared to the previous season, the number of teams competing in the Second, First, Higher, Super League championships of Ukraine has increased in nine teams. All these sporting events are taking place thanks to the heroism of our Armed Forces of Ukraine, the selfless struggle of every soldier at the front and every Ukrainian.
